Things right now are super busy getting ready for the big move. What I thought was 3 months to plan turned into 3 weeks, so it's been a flurry of activity--selling my car, shopping, packing, and trying to decide what to store and what to toss.
I have applied for a Tier 2 General visa this week. What a confusing process! After an appointment for fingerprint scans ("biometric data collection") in Atlanta on Tuesday, I mailed the visa and will hopefully receive it before I am scheduled to leave!
I am feeling such a sense of excitement, mixed with a touch of terror. I have never lived more than 10 minutes from my family, and can't imagine how I will cope with the separation. I hate that I'm causing feelings of sadness for them by my leaving, but feel good knowing that I will be missed. It will be difficult, but also really good for me to get out of this town filled with nearly 28 years of memories.
Here we go!

I wish that you could live in London and Athens at the same time. Perhaps if you were further along than season 2 in Lost, then you would have a better idea about the physics of accomplishing such a thing (and no, that is NOT a hint about Lost, and NO, I will NOT tell you what is going to happen...you just have to watch it.) So, get on that Katherine. :-)
ReplyDeleteThis is the day you sail away. May your adventure be all you dreamed of! And don't forget there is a great little home town with lots of loving family here :0) love you always! mom
